505 content over into a T1 ?

Any ideas (if it's possible) as to how to transfer books on a 505, to a T1?

Anyone done it ?

I can see a possible way through Calibre using the original downloads, but otherwise ......

Are they epubs? If so, I would think the standard drag & drop would do it. I'm sorry I'm not familiar very with Calibre but I imagine you open the epub file in it & then sync or manage your books as usual through it. Whichever way you prefer with syncing or manually.

If they are both registered to the same ADE account, can't you just plug them both in to a PC, and use Windows File Explorer to copy the files from the 505 to the T1?

I've never tried it. Just a thought.

Not actual the right thread to ask this question, but have you:

switched on after reset?
charged with a mains-charger?
connected it to an PC?

Would try this first.

That's what happens with my purchased content at the Sony store. It's copied automatically to both my Sony readers.

Just something to note, the T1 doesn't read LRF files, if you have any of those for your 505. But if you use Calibre, it will automatically convert them to epub for you. I have a 650 and I like the LRF books just for a few superficial reasons so I have a lot of them.

I use Calibre to put books on my boyfriend's T1 and on my 650, from the same Calibre library, and it works fine, once the books are non-LRF format (for him).

Short answer: yes, you can do it. Register both Readers under the same ADE account and you should have no problems.
