Easy way to a <guide> tags using Calibre?
Hi There!
I work at an e-book publishing company, and we do quite a bit of conversions though we outsource a lot of them. I'm trying to make the .mobi conversion from .epub a bit more simple, because a lot of our documents don't really convert well using Calibre. What I'd like to do is eventually quick to kindlegen, but I'd like to fix a problem that's currently running in Calibre as well. In fact, I'd like to be able to use both if possible. Kindlegen converts everything great, however there is no side-feature that allows you to add a reference to the content TOC. Which greys out the Tables of Contents feature on the Kindle. Calibre will instead create a TOC at the back, even if there's already an inline TOC. I can't see if there's a way to detect that there is an inline TOC that Calibre will then create a <guide> section for it. Does anyone know if this isn't the case? I'd also like to know if there's any kind of script out there that will find the TOC in an epub and add the <guide> tags referencing it. Manually entering it might not be an option. |
