Background picture in epub?

Hi there,

I have a problem with a book - there is a page with a handwritten letter on crosslined paper. in rtf/doc and pdf no problem to set a picture with the "lines" in the background of the text.
But how can I do this in epub? In html it works with the "background-image" and the followed orders for repeating... - Can I define a <div>-tag with the properties and can get handwritten text (works with the used font) on lines "epub-paper"? I thought, I can use a single line and let it "repeat", as far as the text needed.

You could try something like below, to get background image. Works at ADE, somehow. Needs some tweaking, tho.
