Uploading to Kindle

Hello everyone,

I'm an author and new to Calibre and new to kindle.

First question: I have two books that i converted to Calibre so i can publish them on Kindle.

One book formatted beautifully. The other book formatted nicely, but without indentations for dialogue or the first line of a paragraph. both are saved in RTF.

Second Question: When i go to my Kindle account and I go to "browse" to upload the book, how do i retrieve the Calibre formatted version to upload?

Thanks,

Dennis

1) (was not a clear question) Try the conversion over again, changing the setting on the conversion screen regarding Indents. Or are you referring to Block quoting? where the whole paragraph margin is inset.
2) Use Save To Disk to put a COPY in a known place (even on the desktop?)

Thank you.

Second question is done. i have saved a copy to desktop.

1rst question, RE indents. I could not find "Indents" on the conversion menu. What I mean is that I want the 1rst line of every paragraph indented 5 spaces. And the 1rst line of every quote indented 5 spaces. Just like in a regular book manuscript. If it helps, this is for a Kindle conversion.

Look on the Look and Feel page
there is a Tick box Remove Line Spacing (Tick it), now the Indent pulldown to the Right is active

Wow! thank you.

I have uploaded my first novel to Kindle, but I did it in the RTF format in the Calibre file. that was the only file Kindle would let me upload. So, I am waiting for it to appear to see if it works.

thank you so much.
