Kindle apps do not sync at all!

I JUST CANT KINDLES TO SYNC!!!

I've seen this kind of problem many times and I've also searched for the answer on google and amazon foruns. It's not lazyness.
I've been working on this matter for many hours now, but still nothing.
I have an ipad, ipod touch, android 2.3.3 phone and k4pc. They seem to work independently, they dont sync at all (yes, i have a kindle account and all my devices are registered).
I'm specially interested personal content (highlights and notes, i'm a law student), but just fyi even books download from amazon wont sync over devices.

Please help!

Thanks a lot!

1) Make sure you don't have synchronization disabled in your Amazon account settings.

2) Make sure that in the settings/options for each of your Kindle Apps, you have the box checked that says; "Automatically back up your device annotations and last page read at Amazon."

3) Verify that when you say; "even books downloaded from Amazon," you mean virgin Amazon purchases (untouched by DRM removal software).

4) Verify that Amazon has indeed rolled out the "Personal Document Syncing" feature to all of the various Kindle apps. Last I heard, it was limited to standard Kindle devices and they "hoped" to roll it out to the Kindle Fire and all the various Kindle apps in the "coming months."

Can anyone out there testify that they can successfully synchronize (with Amazon's Personal Document Synchronization Services, not the calibre or mobi2mobi hack method) personal documents between reading apps (not Kindle to Kindle)?

Is there any app that will let me sync highlights between devices?
Thanks!

I think Personal Documents currently only works with Kindle E Ink models and the Kindle for PC/Mac apps. It does not yet work for Android and iOS apps. The Fire has not yet reached anyone, so we don't know if it works on it yet.

I think syncing of farthest page read, highlighting, notes, etc. should work on all the apps for which it is enabled for books you can archive, that is directly bought from Amazon and unmodified.

That's certainly been my experience.

Thank you guys so much for the replies!
But do you think there is a way in which I could at least get my notes and highlights exported? Doesnt need to be on kindle app. It can be any other app. Doesnt need to be free either.
Really grateful for the help!
