Calibre runs on a laptop or a desktop (Windows, MAC, Linux, or BSD) and it can manage the ebooks on one or more handheld devices (Android, Kindle, various EInk Readers).

The normal way this works is that you connect your android device via USB so that it show up as a disk drive (i.e. shows up as a letter drive under Windows). Calibre then writes the ebooks to the folder on the Android device that you choose.

Unfortunatly MY tablet when they went to the 2.2 OS doent reconise my computer. Came with SD Card that Calibre doent reconise. I have Over 300 ebooks on Calibre

Two options for getting your ebooks over WiFi/3G are to write the ebooks to dropbox (How to use Dropbox with Calibre) or use Calibre2opds - OPDS catalogs from your Calibre library.

Calibre doesn't 'recognize SDCards as such.

You can send to Disk (SD card is just a 'Disk' when in a Card Reader).


It sounds like you are working backwards. Computers recognize 'USB Devices' when they are attached.

Some Devices like my PEz or Phone require me to select something on the menu to make it 'Connect", otherwise it will just charge.

Well What ever All I know is when they Updated to the 2.2 they blocked the computer software connections Thats what in the booklet! Maybe with the next update they will bring it back

have you tried pulling the sd card and connecting it directly to your computer, transferring with drag & drop and the reinserting the sd card back into the reader

There are several solutions for this. One is to use the built-in calibre server functionality, and navigate to your collection using any android browser. This will allow you to download your books free.

Calibre Does Not reconise Just a SD Card..there for there IS no way to do Any steps! Also You Cant Grab & Drag the ebooks in calibre any where!
