Android pocket edge problem with youtube

Need help with pocket edge in regard to youtube. After many attempts to view videos on youtube I finally did get an older version to work, but for some reason that has terminated. I now get a message that the video cannot be tube viewed on this device. I uninstalled and reinstalled youtube several times, but have not solved the problem. Anyone have an answer?

Please try either Miren or xScope browser and go to directly to the YouTube website. YouTube videos will play using one of these browsers.

I just downloaded the suggested browser, but still can't play the videos on youtube. Wondering if I need a flash player/media player? Pretty frustrating not being able to view videos. I was able to view youtube when I first activated my edge, but I noticed after an upgrade youtube stopped working. MMore help/suggestions needed. Thanks

I tried all three of the suggestions above in this thread and I've had no luck with getting YouTube videos to work. I also tried the newest and oldest versions from the freewarelovers site. I get the applications to install, but continually get the message, "Sorry, this video cannot be played." I'ved tried new and old videos. Any other suggestions? I am running on the original DINGO 1.6.

If you have the Amazon App Store installed try downloading the Freedi YouTube Downloader and give it a try. Are you positive you have 1.6 installed and not 1.13? Settings --> About Edge --> Android Version.

I have Ermine installed on two different PEs and an EE and am able to stream videos directly from the YouTube website and many other sites using either the Dolphin, Miren, or xScope browser (I have tested all three) or the Freedi YouTube Downloader.

Can't get Dolphin because I don't have an Android Market Account. XScope won't install. Miren opens YouTube site, but videos won't run. Same with YouTube downloaders (I tried two). How do you select or deselect the High Quality mode?

Later ... I found something that works. The quality of the video really sucks, but at least I can see videos. The program is called Video Tubes

I never had much luck playing youtube under 1.6, although I didn't really give it much time (upgraded within a few hours of getting the PE).

If you decide to upgrade, youtube will play well through the stock browser or others you might want to install.

On the stock browser, you might still get the 'sorry' message, but by simply hitting the return button (or whatever it's called -- 4th one after the rotate button), it starts right up and plays flawlessly.
