Newly aquired pocketbook-iq-701-red needs registration. Four boxes need to be filled with 'Registration Key'. No indication where this 'Key' be found.
I am facing a handful of problems with this product and hoping that by registering, at lease some will be taking care of:- updates, languages, internet, snale-pace . . .you name it . . . I am begining to think that . . .THIS DEVICE IS A LEMON!!!

If I remember correctly, you first need to go to www.bookland.net and register your device there. They will then give you your registration key, which you will enter into the four boxes.

I am surprised you are having so many problems with the IQ. I've head my device for months, and never had any serious issues with it.

Please also mind, that having registered your device will not solve any software problems, the aim of the registration is to enable reading DRM-protected books.

To enhance software possibilities, please upgrade the firmware version of your device. Carefully follow the instructions.

ugrade only to 2.06. It's the most stable and easy to work with.
I've never had any problems with mine. It's almost a year old.

There is no mention of 2.1.2 on the official Pocketbook site for the IQ.
The latest is 2.1.1 Go to the pocketbook-int site and download 2.06 and flash it.
The other possibility is that someone sold you an iq that's been "played" with.
I've had mine almost a year and the only problems I've had have been self induced. ( read played with things I should have left alone! )
