Need a "security token"?

Today I tried to upload a very large epub and very very large accompanying pdf image files - the epub is 29 mb, its accompanying image pdf of large images of the book plates is about 55 mb, and the image pdf of the large format atlas is also about 55 mb. To upload within the size limits of MobileRead I split these large files into plates.zip, plates.z01, plates.z02, etc.; each being 20mb or less.

All were rejected by MobileRead that indicated I was lacking a security token, whatever that is. Perhaps MR doesn't recognize the .z01 type files that WinZip 12 creates? If so, how can I satisfy MR, if not how do I obtain the proper security token?

As I recall, the allowable files types are restricted, so I would try serializing the file names instead of the extension.
Mind you, I'm not sure if anything other than WinZip 12 can rejoin the files automatically. You may be casting all the Mac and Linux users into outer darkness as far as your contribution is concerned.

pholy,
Thanks for the reply. I hadn't thought about the linux/mac users for winzip splits. I can reduce the size of the epub by reducing the resolution of the 42 plates in the epub, and I suppose I could create split the pdf's into 3 parts each, part I, part II, part III. Anyone could then reunite the parts to make a large pdf file. I'll do that.

You can split the file with winrar, I know multiple-part rar files can be easily decompressed in linux (like in this thread).

Jellby,
The winrar files seems the best way to go because the split rars will be easy to recombine to produce the complete pdf files, unlike serializing the pdf's into smaller pdf combos that after downloading need to be combined. Thanks.
