Transfering music on CD to iPad
Since I seem to be an idiot my question today is how to transfer music from a CD to my iPad. Do I have to put the stuff on my computer and then transfer it to the iPad or which way? There is just some music I can't find on iTunes and there are some days I wake up totally clueless.

You can use iTunes to rip the CD (assuming that you have a CD drive on your pc), then the files will be in your iTunes library. On my pc, I just insert the CD, and iTunes asks if I want to rip it into my library.

Thank you. I thought it might be something like that. This getting ready for a very long drive is making my OCD work in overtime trying to make sure I have all the details covered. Even with sirius radio it helps to have some personal tunes to fall back on.

Any program that allows you to 'rip' the music to .MP3 files can be used. Then you can use a capability like Dropbox to transfer the music to the iPad. This has the 'advantage' of not requiring iTunes if that is an advantage for you. AVS4YOU has and audio editor that allows you to 'normalize' the music. Many CDs have music that is recorded at different audio levels. normalizing the music helps put them all at the same relative level. There are other programs that can do this also.
Having you music, videos & books on Dropbox allows you to DL them to your iPad, smartphone, or computer anytime you connect to the internet. Last edited by slayda; 10-30-2011 at 06:16 PM. |
