Hack and Factory Res

Unfortunately it looks like I must do a factory reset on my K3. It will not update to 3.3 and no one at Amazon seems to know why, except that I possibly deleted a file that the software needed. I have the screensaver hacks installed. Do I need to uninstall them before I do the factory reset? Are there instructions on how to re-install it with when I update to the new 3.3 firmware?

Run those two commands from the search bar, give it a moment. A document will be dumped into the /documents folder.

Open this in notepad++ (notepad has issues with it iirc), and search for checksum.

Hopefully, youll find a checksum failure, and the file which is the issue!

For me it was showlog

As for the original question regarding factory resets, it doesn't uninstall anything hack-related, it'll just disable most of the hacks out there, not uninstall them.

In the case of the screensavers hack, just put the linkss folder back on your device, restart, and that should do it.
