Light weight readers?
Hello everyone! Have a quick question.
I got a sony reader pocket edition 350 about a year ago which I have been using because of its non heaviness. I have a physical disability which makes it hard to hold the reader for too long. My question is if there are any new ereaders that have come out or are coming out soon which would be lighter then the one I currently have. It needs to have a touch screen, wifi is not a big deal. Thanks a lot! |

The new Sony T1 is light as a feather. If you're familiar with the Sony products and like how they work, you should take a look - Sony stores have them in stock and should have a demo unit for you to have a feel of.

The ebook reader matrix lists the weight of most ereader devices so you can take your pick
https://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/E-book_Reader_Matrix None of them are heavy (200g thereabouts) but the lightest one with touch according to this seems to be the sony prs-t1. |

Nook STR is heavy at 7.5oz compare to the Sony at 5.5oz. It does feel like enough when that's the only ereader you have. But when you compare it to a lighter ereader like K4 NT at 5.9oz or the Sony, and use them both for a while, NookSTR feels kinda heavy actually.
I know I'm spoiled... ![]() Last edited by shinew; 10-28-2011 at 07:50 PM. |
