This may be hard to do or just outright impossible, but there's a site that I read daily that I'd love to just throw onto my Clie and walk out the door with.
The problem is that it's a framed site, with an left-side index and...a main page that changes its url daily to reflect the current date. So for ex, today's page is /021126.html tomorrow will be /021127.html - you get the idea... Is there some kind of script that I can run that will create the daily change and that I can add to my .ixl for daily downloading? Any advice or insights are welcome! |

Sunshine, I also have a few framed sites that I would like to read on my PDA. Our solution would be Sitescooper I think. Macrotor mentioned it and he is already actively using it. In a couple of days I will post more info.

Just for yuks this morning, I decided to add this site to my .ixl and see if it worked. I was actually more concerned about being able to login, because it's a password protected site. It's really a very basic site though overall, just text. Fortunately I had no problems with login -- the page converted, I launched it, and saw the table of contents (TOC) immediately. Yay.
Murphy's Law kicked up a problem: When I click on a TOC item, it seems to freeze for about 20 or so seconds before it follows the link to the content. Then it hangs on the content for another 20 or so seconds before it will let me scroll or go back. Reading the content is no problem. It's just working back and forth between the TOC and the actual contents. Ideas? Suggestions? TIA |

Sunshine, could you send me the url of the page you converted? You can also PN me. Or send me your converted file. I haven't had seen the problem you described before.

Actually, I fixed it! I don't know why it was hanging up, but I started playing with it while waiting for someone, and noticed that the autoscroll didn't work either -- really it didn't work at all. I changed the display settings from multi to single column and it's working smooth as silk.
I'm a very happy iSilo user right now!! ![]() |
