Hi: It's me, one of the newbies. Not sure if I am using this site correctly, however, I'm sure someone will be kind enough to point me in the right direction. But, right now I am pretty desperate and frustrated.
I NEED HELP!!!!! I need your expertise. I got this ebook that I am trying to figure out, previously owned. So far, I have managed to complete a “Hard reset”. I think that clears out internal info and settings of the previous owner, am I right? I believe that I have to be connected to a network before I can register, right? Each time I connect the landline, I get a message back saying; “ Initiating network, dialing for local telephone number, connection failed” or “Call 1-800... report 1-800.... is not working" WHAT!!! Doesn't seem to be amaking the connection to acquire the local number. What am I doing wrong? Such a simple process right? This is an older ebook as far as I can tell and all of the post that I see are rather old. Can anyone offer any suggestions? Oh, and Thanks to those who sent me a welcome shout out. |

I think you mean eReader? not Ebook. Ebooks are what you read on an eReader, it would help if you could tell us what brand the Reader is and what model.
Does it have a cord to plug into the Computer? Readers like the Kobo Touch require you to download their desktop client in order to register the device and download books to it. |

I believe this is the device: RCA REB1200 eBook
https://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/REB_1200 I don't own one, and I'm not sure if there is anyone else here who has it, but there is this documentation that might help you. http://ec1.images-amazon.com/media/i...L000003352.pdf You can also always try giving them a call if no one here can help. |

Okay, so it is called an Ebook. And I have no Idea how to fix it.
I'd take eksters advice and call them or email them. Last edited by The Terminator; 10-21-2011 at 03:23 PM. |

That's an old, discontinued ebook reader.
The servers were taken down years ago. Sorry. We have a section for legacy ebook readers, located here: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=102 Don (Moderator) Last edited by Dr. Drib; 10-21-2011 at 07:12 PM. |
