unsticking threads?

Not sure if there any active moderators reading these forums, but there are 6 of 8 threads in this forum, and 8 of 11 threads in the Sony dev forum that are sticky threads with no posts for over one year.

I think would be very helpful/user friendly to unsticky those as a start so more active current discussions will be more prominent.

Maybe reporting them will bring them to mod's attention?

It depends on how relevant those threads still are regardless of any new posts. I would say anything dealing with the 500 or 505 and is not relevant to the x50 line would be good to remove the sticky.

There are still active users of older models. "No post for at least a year" is a good indicator though.

Oh, and I think PRS+ deserves a sticky in this subforum. Will probably bring it up once I'm done making video demos.

Don't think reporting is appropriate, and I wasn't sure how moderators work here I'd imagine there would dedicated moderators for certain forums that they are active on but seems like no one is giving Sony forums some love.

kartu sounds good -- will make it easier for people to find things, especially for new members. Right now signal to noise ratio is very high for the sticky threads.

Thank you very much for the cleanup! All those old stickies were driving me crazy. Some hadn't seen a post in over 4 years! I emailed about that very thing a couple of weeks ago and was ignored. Guess you had the right idea, log. Now the Sony forum looks so much better and we don't have to scroll down over a dozen old threads every time.

It does look better, I agree. Sorry about taking a while for the change, but it does take a bit for discussion input and agreement on how to handle things to happen. Even though there may not be any posts, we do have many members and guests that use some of those threads for reference. Plus the older Sonys are still in use in many countries.

The quickest way to get attention to something by the moderators/administrators is to use the report post button. It brings it immediately to our attention.

Thank you for your patience while we reviewed the request.

Suggestions for additional links to be added to that Other links threads? Maybe some links that would be helpful that are in our MR wiki?
