Can't create categories anymore?!

I was to create categories on my Kindle 3 yesterday and discovered that all category-alternatives have been gray. I can still rename and delete categories but not create new or place items in old categories.

Why is this? I'ts quite annoying!

Anyone with the same experience?

Do you mean collections? If the collections items on the menu are greyed out, that would suggest that your Kindle is not registered.

I'll also suggest that it may not be registered. I recently received a replacement K3 and didn't use wireless til I had it for maybe 2 weeks. For some reason, once I used wireless, it deregistered. I reregistered and got my collections ability back.

I am going to guess that your Kindle is registered, but that you have not connected via wireless in some time. Once you connect to Amazon, you should be able to update your collections.

Of course, if you have de-registered the Kindle, re-registering will be necessary.
