Calibre converting file name to English?

Hi,
I am not quite sure I am posting this in the right group, but...

I got my Kindle yesterday and started to play with it.
I have a series of books in .txt in chinese.
Whenever I transfer them to kindle through Calibre, it converts all of the document name into English character...
Is there anyway that I can keep the Chinese name of this files?

Thanks

Possibly the filename in the metadata is in English?

To check if this is so, open book in calibre viewer and click the little blue i on the side.

When sending to devices, filenames are always converted to ascii, filename safe characters. I suggest converting your txt files to MOBI, then the Kindle will not read metadata from the filename.
