Where do I go from here?
So I got the update 2.2.1 running on my PE . I got a 32 G micro-sd Running. Do I want to do a onetime transfer to my external memory vs internal memory? do i need to go through rooting and other apps to store apps externally? What are the pitfalls? This is not my Cell Phone, but a number of like operations do exist. I really can't make head or tails of what path is best for this device. Is it correct to say the manufacture intended the external SD Micro to be only library storage? I would like this device to run like my Thunderbolt with a e-reader. is that possible?

I just did it and all is good. I was out of space so this was a godsend to find a method of installing apps to the SD card!

The best advice I can give is to NOT mess with system files unless you are absolutely sure of what you are doing - a wrong step can give you a rather expensive door stop.
Remember the PE is a tablet not a phone and ermine is beta software as well as being specially modified to integrate the e-ink reader. I would suggest you use it as it is for a time and explore what it will do without hacking it. Most people just upgrade to 2.2 and use it as it then is. Apps can mostly be found in places other than the market which is good because usually the latest and greatest don't work on our version of 2.2. |

If you transfer your library to the SD card you will need it plugged in for the unit not to be upset on booting. You can also have several SD cards with different sets of books and other information on them and change as necessary. A car charger works as long as it has 12v @ 1A output with the correct size tip. Have a search through this forum and you will find a few threads mentioning the subject of chargers. I'm not sure I understand what you mean by 'What is add a mobil broadband network?', where did you see it mentioned? |

I think that mobile stuff is all related to cell phone networks and since this machine doesn't have any cell modem, you can disregard it. Since all of this software runs on top of android there are a few options and settings that aren't applicable to the eDGe devices because they aren't phones (which is what android is mostly designed to run on).
