Has anyone had any trouble with decalgirl skins?

Has any one had any trouble with faults (discolouration) in the decalgirl skins.. I bought a skin in August.. It has a discolouration at the top part of the skin above the screen.. I have emailed Decalgirl and sent photos, to which there reply has been "Please send clearer photos"

Then send clearer photos! How can they help you to figure out what the problem is if they can't see it? Someone here had an issue with a skin having blotches, they sent photos and got a quick and satisfactory result.

I find them to have great customer service.

I had issues with the size not being 'perfect' - both my skins for my 350 and 950 are slightly too long, both on the bottom and the 950 on the top as well.

But, otherwise, no issues - and no discoloration, despite heavy usage on a sandy, humid and salty beach.

I have used two skins from Decal Girl (because of a replacement kindle) and they both looked great and had no issues. The current one has been in place for nearly 2 years and literally looks like new.

None of my decalgirl skins has ever had an issue. They've all fit fine, and the colors/graphics have been fine. My installation technique needs work, however.

My Decalgirl skin is fine.
The only problem I had was with me not the skin. Due to age and failing eyesight and reemergent effects of a long ago stroke, I had to borrow a younger person to allign and aply it.

I bought one once and didn't care for its appearance when it arrived. I had no difficulty at all in getting a prompt refund when I returned it unused.

DecalGirl Skins

Dear Four Eyes,

I think you may be mixing up the companies you are talking about. DecalGirl doesn't make any personal skins, at this time, so it wouldn't make any sense for them to ask you to send, "clearer photos."

DecalGirl is the best skin on the market, and they have the best artwork. Their Matte skins, don't even show nicks or scratches or fingerprints, as all the other companies' glossy skins do.

Why not contact the company where you purchased that skin, and see if they could help you. DecalGirl also has the best, US based customer service and I'm sure they would never have told you that.

OP said they had an issue with the skin they bought and emailed customer service. Customer service said email clearer pictures of the skin presumably so they could see what the issue was. You might want to reread the OP.

Was the stain on there when you first installed the skin? (I'm assuming you installed it, because otherwise you could just return it for them to look at.)

The reason I ask is that some plastics can release plasticizers etc. in small quantities, and cause apparently inexplicable marks or blemishes on polymers left in contact with them, even for a few moments. Many's the owner of a fine nitrocellulose-lacquered guitar who bitterly regretted leaving it on the Naugahyde sofa while they went to the fridge.
