where are my kindle folders?
I have kindle 3. I have many ebooks and mangas in my kindle. I found out there was a virus in my kindle. So i cleaned it. Now when i connect my kindle to my PC i see 3 files in my kindle(no folders) Autorun.ini, driveinfo.calibre and metadata.calibre ... Folders like Images, app ... all gone. When i disconnect my kindle i can see all my ebooks and mangas in my kindle, i can read them so antivirus didnt erase them. How can i see my folders again? "Show hidden files, folders and drivers" option checked in my 64 bit windows 7.

Bilgisiz,
You said "I found out there was a virus in my kindle". Did I hear that right? A virus in the Kindle? Are you sure about that? It's certainly a first, as far as I know. |

Silly of me. When i said i unchecked "Hide protected operating system files" i just checked "show hidden files, folders ....". I thought it was the same thing. So i unchecked "Hide protected operating system files" and my problem solved. Mike L Kindle is like a usb flash disk so of course a computer can infect it. Viruses can also effect memory card of cameras, phones ...

I'd do a "Reset to Factory Defaults" and start all over with a spanking new Kindle, myself.

There's a big difference between a virus destroying the data on a USB drive (such as a Kindle) and a virus actually infecting a Kindle, which is what you said.
