I have recently switched to using calibre portable instead of the regular calibre installation. I pinned the calibre-portable.exe to my toolbar when I open calibre it opens with my original library not the library which was active when I closed calibre. I have two libraries, is it the intended programming for calibre to do this?

yes, that is intended behavior. calibre-portable.exe is designed to always use the calibre library and config folders in the Calibre Portable folder.

Thanks for the answer, I figured that was what was going on but I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing a setup somewhere.

One thing I've noticed, it appears the locations of other libraries aside from the default are hard coded in the settings. Is there a way to change the behavior so it uses relative paths instead? Or perhaps calibre-portable.exe might be modified so it's able to do its magic for custom libraries same as it does for the default "Calibre Library" folder?
Thanks! |
