Husband got a Galaxy Tab 10.1. Am I jealous?

Nope!

I'm surprised I'm not envious, given how nice the new tablet is, but I would not prefer the Galaxy Tab to my eDGes. Now, if I could transplant the Tab into the LCD side of the EE (without losing any eDGe-only functionality) we might be talking. But even then I prefer our resistive screen for most purposes.

Easy video, Market access, Honeycomb -- you get tired of that. Give me an attached e-ink screen any time!

Forget Galaxy Tab, Amazon's tablet is where it will be.. you know.. the one that is still in the rumor mill that no one has actually seen yet.

All kidding aside, I love my Edge. The two screens together are just awesomeness and all that.

If Entourage regroups and comes out with a new device, I'm so there this time..

Snagged one of those $99.00 HPs over the weekend, will be interesting to see how it compares with my PE. I have come to like the PE, I use the LCD screen the most as I basically use it away from home. Wife has a color nook she uses to read books, heavy reader she is too. I have yet to read a book on my PE. It is nice to have the PE when visiting, checking email and the web. No need to lag a computer along.

I hope you'll tell us what you think of the HP once you've had a chance to get to know it.

I, too, find my PE very handy. I read mostly on my EE but keep lists and make notes mostly on my PE.

My husband is having a little trouble adjusting to Android, but he's also discovering the joys of portable electronics. He always thought the PE was too heavy. I wonder if the case he ordered for his Tab will make it almost as "big and heavy" as the PE (which doesn't need an additional case).

Isn't onSale a Amazon 3rd party reseller? I'm afraid that happened to a lot of people, not just with onSale.. B&N had them and cancelled orders and a few more places did to.. I guess people were ordering faster then the system could keep up lol..

I only received 4 of 6. I'm keeping two and one goes to he wife and her mom.

If I had gotten all my orders in I would have gotten close to 12, but 4 orders were cancelled from Barnes and noble, one from office depot, and I've yet to hear from my multiple HP orders and my two orders at mac mall (I'm assuming these won't go through).

loving the HP. I'm starting yo use it more than the PE which is sad.

Oh thats interesting. What is it you like about it? I figure it would be limited since WebOs hadn't the back catalog of Apps yet.

You'll probably get your HP orders. I hear they will be getting more stock to sell off.. I'm hoping I can snag a few.. I have a Gas leak to fix and this would cover most of it lol..

I only read about this HP sell. Here in CH they don't do that and you've gottah pay the full amount. anyway, I bought myself an Adam next to my eDGe.
I've gottah say it's a great tablet. it won't be able to compete with my eDGe, simply because of the double screen. the eDGe is a better workhorse and the Adam is a great play.

I had some trouble with it and found out the the support of the company is terrible. uhm, more than that. after installing some other software, it works much better.

so, i will compare those 2 and hope to brief you folks about my findings.

I love their synergy software (it's like your name on the Touchpad. I have the hp connected to three accounts (2 gmail (one work and one personal) and yahoo). When i logged into face book, it sync'ed up all the albums from Facebook to my local Album. when I look at the pics locally, the comments can be viewed. It's part of the entire integration package. After using it, I'd say it was worth $400, but at that price point, hp didn't stand out with the iPad and Galaxy in it's way. At $99, it is definately a steal. It's like the day I bought my $125 Pocket Edge. I couldn't be more delighted.

I still love the pocket edge and I take that to work. I like using the Touchpad because the screen is bigger and it's easier to read and browse on it.

So guys, I'm willing to trade one of my 16GB Touchpad for a full size Entourage Edge .. Any takers? It's actually a better deal and you actually will come out ahead (I have the option to change my mind and I might....) If I do, your EE has to be in fully working conditiion and basically new .
