				Conversion lit-epub: accented words

Converting a book from LIT to EPUB I loose the accents like à è ì ò ù. The LIT text is correct the converted one, not. Someone had my problem (typical for italian language, rich of accented words)? Is there a system to get a right conversion? Thanks for reply Stefano |

As nobody else is giving it a trial , here goes my suggestion, Try to tell Calibre which is the source codepage. Determining this one for .lit can be difficult -- my first choice would be windows 1250 or something like that -- try to see which one Office uses when converting an Italian text to hml -- "charset xxx". And does the .lit look OK from Calibre viewer? The "inspect" feature from top level (html tag) can show which charset is in use. |
