Silliness Shower or Bath?

All of us have different preferences when it comes to washing ourselves. Show your preference whether it is shower of bath.

I will go first. I always take shower. The only time I may take bath if I am forced into it. That is, if there is no shower.

This question brought memories of how my grandma washed me in a village in Ukraine without running water when I was little. She would first pour cold water into a large bοwl, then pour boiling water to mix in. Then get me into that bowl and use Marseille soap (see the Wikipedia, but instead of being made of vegetable oil, it was made of animal fats). Often she wouldn't get the cold/scorching hot mixture right. So, it was not my favorite thing to do.

Why do I have to chose? I had a shower after the gym today and will probably have a bath later on before bed. I love any excuse to get naked, wet and clean at least once a day!

Always a shower in the morning, every season. In autumn, winter and spring, depending on the temperature, I might also take a bath in the evening. To warm up. Or when I'm feeling a bit under the weather. Or just because I just want to relax with a good book.

For me, the shower is utilitarian, a bath is a luxury.

No bathtub in the house. So it is showers. But whenever I get somewhere with a bathtub, then bath it is. As hot as possible. I let the hot water run with the shower thing, I cover the safety with a towel and soak till they let me. With the hot water up to the brim. The trick with a very hot bath is to enter in the water very slowly.
Once, the night before my first marriage, I felt asleep in the tub. My mother found me there at 6 in the morning. That is why in the pictures of the marriage I look washed out. Slightly crooked, like worried. It was not a premonition. It was a night in a chilled bathtub. Middle of November.

Showers, I like them first normal, for washing, then hot, then coldish then very cold. Very stimulating. Before going to bed.

The only thing I have to do with the bath these days is clean the damn thing! I am thinking of having it removed and putting down the back of the garden as a tub for growing waterlillies!

Yes, there are two opposite things they say to us:

- Hot shower and then a cold one is very good for health! That strengthens the body muscles, blah blah... (This theory is well known in Eastern culture of Yin and Yang, but in Western world it is really popular also). Here's a link. And here's another, benefits included.

- Hot shower and then a cold one? Your veins will burst. The pores are open too widely, blah blah... you'll die real soon.
