Touchpad as NC upgrade/replacement?
Just read that crazy idea this morning in another forum. Now that is 99.9 I wonder if some folks still think the same.
For those looking a tablet/color reader, that would be an option. Maybe a different ROM? ... I don't know, just thinking loud ... |

Not really. It's bigger and considerably heavier than the Nook Color. It does, however, make for a nice new toy.

So, the device was a flop? I never followed the Touch Pad news. Horrible for folks who paid full price a few DAYS ago.

I would say no. I was ultimately disappointed in the Nook color and sold it and the Touchpad seems to be even worse. It is now a dead OS so it will get very little software support. You can get a nook color refurb for $169 and I would get that over a Touchpad even if you could get lucky enough to score one for $100. They seem long gone already at that price.

If you can put Android on this device, then for 99$ it's certainly an awesome tablet. Though I haven't played with it so I don't know how the hardware is.
