Carbyn beta

Has anyone else heard of carbyn? I saw a news story and signed up for a beta. I got an email from them today saying "We'll be opening up private beta access (tech talk meaning that we'll start letting people in) next week, letting in a few hundred people at a time and picking up the pace from there while making sure we keep it all running smoothly. We'll be starting with those who really put their referral links to work (so thanks...and keep sharing!) and keep going until everyone is enjoying Carbyn everywhere. Stay tuned to your inbox for your account access soon!"

That looks interesting! I'm a little leary now of products from small startups, but you never know! Please report on how it works, especially if it works with the eDGe browser!

Thanks!

What is the point of it?

You need something to run the browser on - an operating system, so this appears to be a way of installing a virtual machine with limited use.

Still waiting for the email to test it out. I'm not even sure how good the HTML5 support is yet, so it may not work at all.
