Is there still an issue with losing your place with books on the memory card of the STR?

There has been an issue of books on the memory card not being seen/taking a while to be seen after a reboot. Personally, I've never had a problem of the STR losing my place. Since I sideload nearly all my books, I use the memory card almost exclusively.

It is usually a good idea not to be in the reader when you connect the nook to the PC, as the SD card gets mounted and the reader loses access to the file. This applies also to the internal memory.

Might have been fixed in the update, but it is better to play it safe and exit the reader before you connect to the PC.
