Gutenberg ePub files not showing up?
Gutenberg ePub books are not showing up after dragging to the kobo touch. Is there something else I need to do?

Strange. They should show up fine after you eject and then unplug your Touch... I have no problems with Gutenberg epubs, though I usually add 'em to Calibre and then load them to my Touch that way...

Yes I generally add non-Kobo books using calibre.
It doesn't seem to work that well by just adding them manually as an attached drive. |

I've never had any problem with drag and drop directly onto the Kobo. Just make sure you eject before you disconnect it from your computer.

Some of the public domain files in circulation are corrupted and will not show up in your ereader. Other people have noticed that in threads like https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...=144752&page=2

Holding the home key after ejecting helped me see some of the books, but some still don{t show, possibly because thet are bigger files with pictures.
I bought this kind of as a test. Ive given it to my girlfriend whos totally non technical. I think for her it is too hard to use, all this home key holding or DRM stuff, or using Caliber. The touch interface doesn{t follow the conventions from Android and ipad - instead of flicking left and right to browse which book to choose you have to click at the bottom arrow. I keep trying to flick and then having to go back. Ill tr ya bit more but i think Ill either sell it and try out a Kobo instead)because kobo can do kindle books once rooted), or Kindle or keep it for myself to hack around with.
