Let's jointly write a novel (or at least a short story) mentioning the terms as often as the plot dictates.
"It was a dark and stormy night on mount Olympos..."

At this rate, we're going to need a "Copyright Insanity" subforum.

...in the year 2012. And meanwhile in London.

P.S. HarryT cannot say Olympic, London, or 2012 since he lives in the silly UK. Not without violating copyright or trademark or whatever the heck they have.

We cold use him as a character, so he could play along vicariously, but then those crazy UK courts would probably find some way to make him liable for it.

... an unusually intelligent and well-spoken chap known as HenryT was just reading about the Olympic Games due to start there shortly.

On his Iliad, which, being written a long time ago in a county far far away is either out of copyright or descendants that will dispute it.

That is indeed insanity...people will start copyrighting all sorts of stuff, just hoping to make money through their madness...sad days these are indeed...

The writers of the fictional "Legend of the five rings",a series of oriental based books named after the tactics book of the same name had to change their original emblem, five rings in a circular formation, to five solid disks in the same format because the US Olymipic commitee has a US copyright on any emblem consisting of five rings regardless of how they are placed.

The author of this article really should learn the difference between copyrights and trademarks. This is about trademarks - it has absolutely nothing to do with copyright.

Yep, big difference, you can still say Olympic, you just cant sell crappy souvenirs of sporty stuff with Olympic written all over it. We have been over this with the bloody 2010 football world cup coming out our way. Some people seemed to think that you wouldn't be allowed to drink out of a cup because of it.
