TOC Issue

Ok, is this ePub thing just designed to make me crazy? Used Sigil to solve the special characters problem from the previous thread. Then used Sigil to build a TOC. TOC worked fine in Adobe Digital Editions. Loaded the book on my iPad and viewed it in iBooks. There was an entry in the TOC for the front cover image. It was in the TOC when viewed in ADE. The entire entry disappeared in iBooks. Just doesn't show up. There is another TOC entry for the back cover image, and that works fine in both. Compared the html for the two entries and they are identical for the front and back images other than the reference to the different images. The image does show up in the book itself. The TOC entry for it is just missing in iBooks. Anybody know what gives?

Sounds like another iBooks issue, not ePUB. I haven't read about it earlier though.

Try to view it in bluefire reader and the kobo app (they are free from Apple app store) to see if it's the same as ADE on the computer. If it is then it's probably as Toxaris says.

Well, I'm embarrassed. The TOC issue turned out to be a typo I made in the <h1> tag for the TOC. It is interesting that Adobe Digital Editions included it.
