				Blindness and Seeing - WONDERFUL

I just was introduced to Jose Saramago when my library got the electronic versions of these books. His writing style is very unique, and I didn't think I would get beyond the first couple pages. Well, I couldn't put either of them down. I just finished Seeing on the train this morning, and I really wanted to tell someone about the ending. I see that Amazon has the complete works of Jose Saramago for only $16. I will definately be getting that. Anyone else a fan of Saramago? |

I've read "Ensayo sobre la ceguere" (Published in English under "Blindess" though the accurate translation would be "Essay on Blindness"). I loved it. The only thing I didn't quite like though is the punctuation. He can write 65 word sentences, no commas. That makes you get lost between dialogues (it isn't neither formatted in that way). José Saramago's wall of text critically hit you for 20463 damage. Still, 10/10 IMO. After I finish my current book, I might go for "Elephant Journey" |
