Kobo error

Just got my kobo - all software updated and just updated calibre. When calibre detected the device, this happens

calibre, version 0.8.10
ERROR: Error: Error communicating with device

[Errno 22] invalid mode ('wb') or filename: 'K:\\driveinfo.calibre'

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "site-packages\calibre\gui2\device.py", line 81, in run

File "site-packages\calibre\devices\usbms\driver.py", line 89, in _update_driveinfo_file
IOError: [Errno 22] invalid mode ('wb') or filename: 'K:\\driveinfo.calibre'

What's the problem and how do I fix it please?

If you are using an SD card in your Kobo, reformat the sd card with the FAT32 file system. Also make sure that it is not write protected.

Thanks, the format is definitely fat32. How do I change write protection?

Ive done a bit of research and it could be that the sd card is too big (8gb) and I can connect the kobo without, I might have to find a way of keeping track of what I put on the sd card separately if I can't get it to work.

Thanks for the help.
