KlearKase for Kindle
http://www.klearkase.com/products/kindle-3/
I can't find the Kindle Case thread and since they refuse to sticky it I am saying screw it. I have been waiting for this case. It is suppose to be excellent and received great reviews for the K2. Durable and water resistant it will be a great case for people looking for something highly protective. |

Product development sure is slow. The K3 was released last Aug and this case is just now coming out. If this case would've been available last holiday season, I would've jumped on it. But with a touch Kindle just around the corner, the K3 is not my choice for outdoor use.

Let us know if you have any questions about KlearKase for Kindle 3. We know product development took a while, but it's a side-effect of the high-tech case we chose to build - we've literally been working on it non-stop since the Kindle 3's release. We have a commitment to quality, and we think you'll be impressed with the final product. There's nothing like it. If you don't believe us, check out what happened when we strapped a Kindle and KlearKase to a Hydroplane traveling 185MPH (youtube video).

I am hoping that the case is thin enough to fit into my sleeve. It probably will be too big but we shall see.

@tubemonkey We have significantly improved our design and manufacturing process and expect future case to reach market more quickly. Note that we are a young company and are growing with each product - we set out to build the case we wanted as Kindle users, and we took the time to get it right.

I felt very badly for KlearKase. They released a new case that looked more rugged then the other cases out there and it seemed like 2 weeks later the K3 was announced. Not only that, the ports were in totally different places and the 5 way remote was replaced by the D pad. The case probably had to be totally redesigned.
The same thing happened to MEdge with the Guardian. The Guardian has not returned. |

I realize it takes time to develop products; but considering that most mobile devices only have a shelf life of a year or less before they're upgraded to the next generation, it seems rather self defeating to release an accessory a year later. The ToughCase never sold well, and no wonder considering the length of time it took Magellan to get it to market. Face it, most people are no longer interested in a new case after they've had their device for a month or two. By that time, they will have already made their choice. I really hope KlearKase moves fast on the next gen Kindle. |
