Delete books with a single keypress?

Great software first off, it's really useful and fun to use.

I use version 0.8.5 on a regular Macbook and am going through my collection and finding a few duplicates here and there that I want to delete and right now I have to right click, go to the menu option, highlight then remove the book. Is there I way I can assign a key to do that for me in one press?

Highlighting then pressing the delete key should work.

Thanks for the quick reply Walt.

I tried doing that but it didn't work until I hit the fn (function) key along with delete, then it worked fine.

Thanks again!

Everyone's keyboards differ these days mine doesn't have a fn key so hitting del works. My son's computer though has a fn key. We were wondering how it might be used.

MAC's and Laptops have Fn keys.

Laptops Fn keytop letter colors match a Second Keytop /Front/frame label of the same color. (Dim up, LCD-Port(external CRT), WiFi On,Numberpad-mode(for STD notebook size Keyboards)... They usually control the System features.
MAC's have always done it different

I'm familiar with laptop fn keys. My son's machine is a new desktop with a seperate fn key on a unique row with the buttons Sleep, Power, Wake-up and fn. The fn button isn't color coded nor are any of the keys. Someday when I'm more curious I'll investigate it further.

Those sound like 'Dedicated Keys' (That indeed, do perform a 'function' )

Thus speaks a Ludite that searches used parts sores for those old 'IBM Clicky' keyboards (in PS/2)
