Uses other then just books?
One of the other threads someone mentioned storing recipes on their reader, I thought that was a pretty good idea. Anyone found any other uses besides books that it's been good for?

When someone emails me directions somewhere, I tend to lose the printout. I have started copying everything to my reader.
I am also planning a trip to Europe over Christmas. I plan to keep my travel plans on the reader as a backup for and possibly replacement of the paper copy. |

Another useful thing while travelling. Turn on password protection for your Reader and then store on it JPG scans of important travel documents (password, credit cards, plane tickets, etc). Can be a life-saver in an emergency.

edit: Well, actually, most airplane tickets are electronic now, and I had already planed on keeping the flight info on the reader. Last edited by Nate the great; 09-07-2007 at 10:07 AM. |

One thing I plan on doing is creating an address book for my Reader.

I'm using it as a songbook when I travel with my guitar - converted the songbooks with both lyrics and chords...there's no better or more handy way to "store" the chords...and the older I am the less I remember.....

Similar to the google maps, I remembered that the HARTLine transit system here in Tampa has all of their maps and schedules in downloadable PDFs that look pretty slick on the reader.
Now I dont have to buy one of their paperbacks full of schedules and I'll know when the busses are coming around ![]() I was also thinking about putting together a Pocket Ref for it since I couldnt find one online (could be one out there, I didnt look that hard) |

I store my PDF work schmatics on the reader. Showed it to the boss who thought it was a great idea. Now when he comes by he thinks I'm studying the schematics but in reality I'm having a good read of the latest thriller.
