Keeps disconnecting when loading pdfs

I regularly get pdfs that I need to browse through, so I hookup the NC to my laptop (WinXP) and begin copying them over. After coping the first, the NC will disconnect and reconnect. If I have 4 pdfs to transfer, I have to go to the folder each time and copy them individually - because I know it will disconnect on me.

I tried this a little while ago on my Vista machine, but don't remember this happening. Any thoughts?

You might need to reboot your NC before you start copying the files over. Not just turn it off: Hold down the "N" button on the front while holding the on/off switch, and wait until the screen blurs, then gives you a power off screen. Wait a few seconds, and turn on as usual. Then give copying over another try.

Good suggestion. Quick question - do you think I'll need to do this every time I move files over? I never power off the NC, just put 'er to sleep.
