IQ PocketBook IQ and ADE

How do I read Adobe DRM books with the PocketBook IQ?

At first ADE didnt even see the IQ when it was plugged in to my laptop.

I read here about a couple of different apps to try- Overdrive, Aldiko , TXtr etc.

Overdrive doesnt allow you to import books in anyway, Aldiko doesn't open the DRM books and TXTR doesnt either. Neither of them show up in ADE

When i tried to use the Txtr app i went in to its settings and put in my Adobe ID. I figured that would make it show up in ADE. Instead now the PocketBook IQ is listed.

I can drag books to it but then they wont open from the library. If I navigate to the file Digital Editions folder on the IQ and select the books from there, it gives a choice of which app to use but none of them will actually open the books.

Im stumped.

Hi,

I can only help with Aldiko2.0, because I don't have the TXTR app.

After registering Aldiko in ->Settings ->DRM it should recognize Books already on your device.
For downloading new books: Copy the URL of the download link (long press on the URL opens context menu -> copy URL) then go to Aldiko "Catalogues" and add a new catalogue. Name it whatever you want and paste the download link.The download should start, and the book will be visible in your library.
There's a new FW which is supposed to support DRM, but AFAIK only very few people were able to make it work. I don't belong to them, but I didn't try too hard, because the PB reading app is crap compared to Aldiko

Troll- Wont he need to do the non ugly market install and restore framework to get Aldiko 2.0 to work?

To download it from the market: yes, but I understand he already has it running, so no problem there, and my IQ runs it without market install on 2.1.1 (backed-up from previous) without problems, and after resetting my Adobe counter I even have DRM support

great. so 2.1.1 really is an android 2.1 build?!

I think that what he is saying is that Aldiko 2.x only needs the 2.1 fakeout to install, not to run.

well actually it turns out I had a Aldiko 1.x installed. I now have Aldiko 2.0 (from aldiko here http://aldiko.zendesk.com/entries/40...er-application ) installed but when i try to register my adobe ID it just says "registration failed" any ideas? I know I am using the correct Adobe ID.

Is there a Pocketbook firmware that supports Adobe drm? It's in the manual of 2.0.6 that I have installed but ADE doesnt see it. Does ADE see it in 2.1.1 "gama"?

1. Silly, but is WIFI on? otherwise reg. must fail! Did you register this or other devices more than 6 times allover? If yes, mail to Adobe to reset your Counter, it's no problem at all, I did it yesterday for the 2nd time

2. 2.1.1 should support ADE, but I don't get it working. No loss if you have Aldiko, see above
