Just got my Kindle
Hello all. I'm new to this site and to e-readers in general. My husband bought me a kindle and we've both been trying to figure out good places to download free e-books. Unfortunately, amazon's free section isn't all that great.

Any suggestions or tips are welcome and greatly appreciated.

For free books, check out our Patricia Clark Memorial Library here on MR. Also, periodically check out our Deals and Freebies section. Lots of authors will give away the first book in a series hoping to get you hooked. And, damn it, I can tell you that works!

Here is another way to, although much more complicated way to do the same thing. First, download and install Calibre. Next download an electronic book from anywhere on the internet. Third, using calibre change the format to MobiPocket. Last, upload the result to your Kindle.
