No Fictionwise newsletters since last August

I'd noticed it'd been a while since I'd gotten discount coupons from FW, and checked through my email archives--my last "weekly" newsletter was delivered on 8/31/10.

I checked my settings; I'm still set for weekly newsletters.

In early September 2010, I sent an email asking about minors using the site, and was told that one has to be 18 to have an account at FW. I've got no idea if that's connected to my newsletters stopping; I've bought books since then with no problems.

I haven't bought anything with DRM; don't know if that's connected, either.

Anyone else getting erratic or no newsletters from Fictionwise?

I haven't gotten any either, starting from about the same time period. I think I've tried "unsubscribing" and resubbing from the website, but no luck on that. Maybe I should leave it on "off" for a few weeks before trying again.

I think that another poster mentioned somewhere that only people with Micropay still remaining in their accounts got the newsletters, but that was back in January.

But at least FW seem like they're doing more numerical date codes now, so you can always try punching in the numbers each weekend and see how much, if any, coupon discount they might let secretly apply.

Haven't gotten one in a long time. Not sure exactly how long it has been, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was from around the same time period you mention.

I still get 2 oe 3 emails a week from Fwise.

My last newsletter was on 9/1/10. I'm still signed up for it, so I have no idea why I'm not getting them any more.

I'm not and haven't for months. I have bought several hundred ebooks (multiformat) from Fictionwise but stopped receiving the coupons and newsletters about year ago. Consequently, I haven't bought any books from FW in the past year, largely because I never think about FW.

It's been quite some time since I received any communication at all from Fictionwise. They used to contact me on a fairly regular basis. I used to purchase the majority of my eBooks from them. However, I'm finding it more and more difficult in obtaining the books I want in the format I want, or else I can't purchase at all due to more and more geographic restrictions.

I actually got one today but I have no MicroPay and when I did I still hadn't received a newsletter since last summer.

I've signed up a new account with a different email address and a US address, and I've also tried switching to "plain text" on my old account. I wonder if either of those will make a difference.

I got my last one back in November. I do get coupon offers and other 'so-many-percent-off'-mails from them, though.

But by now they seldom have something I want, and when they do I can't buy it because of geographic restrictions. I don' t think I bought anything from them since my Analog subscription ran out a few months back and I couldn't renew it...

Having a Kindle, I went to Amazon for that.
