Reading scientific paper in A4 with color
Hello,
I want an ebook to be able to read scientific papers (pdf files) with color graphics. The minimum requirement is that I can see the whole A4 page easily, and that the navigation is smooth and fast. I also need to be able to read when the battery is charging. If possible, I would like a good autonomy. If possible, I would like to be able to read outside. What do you suggest? Thanks a lot, odv |

I had the same requirements.
I settled for an Ipad1, and although it is a flawed piece of hardware in many ways, it gets the job done. Be aware it takes a while to open large scanned pdfs. Depending on how you want to use it, it could be a tad heavy though. A second hand Ipad1 or a refurbished one from the Apple store can help you reduce the price significantly. |

Why not a nook color? Half the price and a big enough screen, imo. I have an iPad (on loan from my employer), but I much prefer reading on the Nook.

Because an iPad will allow you to see the whole of an A4 page easily. With the NC, I imagine you have to scroll the page around to read it, don't you? That doesn't seem to me to make for a good reading experience. But what works for you is the important thing; if that's the NC, good on you. For me, it's the iPad.
