Will Amazon replace a defective cable under warranty?

My Kindle hasn't been fully charging lately, and today it stopped charging completely. I thought the Kindle itself might have developed a problem, but when I plugged it into a USB port it charged to full. I'm guessing the prong end of the cable is bad. Since it's still under warranty I'm wondering if Amazon will send me a new cord, or plug, or will I have to buy one?

I'm sure they will...call 866-321-8851 for Kindle CS.

Yeah, planning to do that tomorrow when I'm more awake. I just thought that someone might have already had this happen and knew what Amazon's response would be.

They replaced my defective kindle and my defective unlighted cover immediately and without hastle. So I believe that they will also replace the cable.

These guys have given me a credit for bad batteries when I purchased a radio. It made more sense to buy new rechargables than to send the entire radio back on their nickle and they agreed.

You should have no problem.
