How to integrate with feedbooks
This is my first download of a commercial book. I purchased a book from feedbooks, presuming it would show up on my desktop or in downloads from where I could manually move it to my Calibre library. Instead Sony software opened up and the only other option is to register with Adobe something. How to use the program *I* want to use - Calibre?
Perhaps there is a web page or thread that deals with this. |

The book you purchased is DRM protected. What happens is they don't give you the book. They give you an ASCM file which is a small pointer file that tells a licensed application how to download the book.
You can use the Sony Software or you can use Adobe's Digital Editions software. You then register to tie the book to your account and reader. Then the software downloads it. You can navigate to the directory that the software downloads the actual EPUB and import that into calibre. |

Will they ever learn, they make it so convoluted for legit users to buy and read books, its no wonder Jack Sparrow and his crew are all over the easy to get none drm downloads that work anywhere.
The music industry soon took out their drm maybe the publishers and authors will decide thats the best route to go.. |
