Convert to Epub ?
Hi !
Maybe a silly question but... Here it goes: I have a Sony PRS 650 and allready downloaded quite a few free ebooks. They come as *.PDF, *.DOC, *.LRF and even as *.TXT... but mose of them are in *.EPUB format. Is it worth converting the other type of books into EPUB format ? What might I gain ? Your opinion please ? TIA. J-P. |

A nicer looking book
![]() PDF is a very poor format choice when it comes to reflowing to fit a different display than the document was designed for. plain TXT has little style capability. The rest have some style ![]() For me. EPUB was the choice. The first thing I do to make a pleasing 'read' on my PEz (5" display), is set the body base font to 1.2em and the margins to L=2pt,R=16pt This allows me to read with a mid point Zoom setting (text about the same size as the paperback) and avoid text smearing on the @#$% ADE page numbers on the R-edge. |

Thanks for the quick reply !
I guess I'll have to try different output choices, like the ones you mentionned... Good, that'll keep me busy for a while ! ![]() J-P. |
