Exclamation Amazon pulls all eDGes

I'm hoping this means they've moved their inventory of eDGes (both kinds) to Woot....

Wow! That's weird! Just yesterday (I think) they had 11 sellers for the PE, and a few EEs as well. Wonder what happened . . . . ?

Did they actually say that they 'pulled' them? Could they just have sold out?
They are getting a lot of buzz recently.

I can't find any news or explanation, but now when you search for "entourage edge" on Amazon.com you find only accessories, mostly skins. None in their warehouse, either.

My fertile imagination has Amazon coming out with an enTourage-designed ereader/tablet. Well, Amazon is rumored to be coming out with a tablet, and enTourage is rumored to be working on a new design -- it's possible! (But not likely . . . )

Worldwide Distributors, who were one of the sellers on Amazon are still there on ebay (I believe under the seller id johny641)

Weirdly, they've even removed the pages for them; when I click on recently viewed items, which for me shows the thumbnail of the edge, it comes up saying that page is gone.

Stunning. Maybe it is because the EE and PE have been discontinued by the manufacturer. Most other websites still leave the page up with the discontinued by the manufacturer message.

What's weird is that they had used models for sale the night before as well as new.

Maybe they just removed the product page to update the description/info after getting emails from wooters. After all, it said that this thing boasted an Intel processor and other netbook specs. I can dream can't I?

I reviewed the PE and when I go into my reviews to find it, it says 'Not Listed - Device Not Available' or something, doesn't even list the name of the PE anymore.

I noticed that the PE disappeared yesterday - they all went away while I was mid-transaction trying to buy another one from a 'used' seller. I thought Amazon had crashed. Apparently not. Even the used models are all gone now.

WTF Amazon!

This seems like very strange behavior from Amazon to me. Someone on MobileRead said they had contacted Amazon about it and Amazon (I'm paraphrasing, and my memory is iffy! ) claimed that enTourage took down the pages. Is Amazon not in control of its own website?? I don't get it.

Agree with your assessment, Chaos -- "WTF Amazon!"

well, if a company tells Amazon to take down a page, Amazon has to do it or be faced with a lawsuit(you could probably argue it, but no one really wants to try). Why entourage would want them to I have no idea though...
