Problem with PDF
I have just joined the Entourage community and have started getting to grips with my Edge, I am probably one of the only, or very few who have one in South Africa. It is an ambitious device but certainly quirky, here is an example:
I am having a strange problem with a version of the King James bible I got from Project Gutenberg. I downloaded it as an ePub and converted it via Calibre to PDF. In my Nitro PDF program on my PC it looks great and I accordingly put it onto my Edge. When I opened it up in the reader the first few pages were good but then it started to look like several pages were on top of each other. I went back and reconverted the file and once again put it on the Edge opening it this time with DOCs To Go PDF reader, where it looked fantastic so I opened it in the reader once again. This time the first few pages were also fine but then from there on all I got was blank pages till the end. |

In case anyone was wondering why I converted the ePub to PDF is that I had the same problem with the ePub version which also read perfectly in other readers

![]() i don't have an answer to the epub issue since I have not encountered that but if you are just interested in having a Bible in your edge, try downloading the one in mobileread. it is epub but it seems to work fine. if you need a solution to the particular file try contracting tech support by email and send them that particular file so they can try to reproduce the problem and hopefully give you a solution. |

you can open the epub directly on the ereader. Does it work if you do that?

Hi guys, thanks for the response. I can open the ePub on the reader but it does the same thing where it appears like several pages on top of each other

Hi nbfsinger. Have you had a chance to put a ticket in to tech support? Also, just out of curiosity, when you see a blank/overlayed page on the reader, have you tried refreshing the eInk screen?

Hi Dr.T I have not put in a ticket yet and will do so in due course. refreshing makes no difference to either the PDF or the ePub

Have you been able to open the original ePub on another reader? I'd say if the original file looks messed up, then it is possible the file itself is formatted incorrectly.

Could you post a link to the file... I'm sure some of us could try the file on our devices... or maybe see the problem with the file?
