Do you guys use an RSS reader?

If so, which one? I have NewsRoom on my phone. How does that work with the EE? I like NewsRoom because it can be used offline.

I use OI News Reader. It works offline, too, although things like pictures don't show unless you're connected (they're fetched when you view). I also discovered yesterday that it can handle video podcasts in conjunction with the mVideoPlayer app (at least the one podcast I tried that had iPod MP4 video....).

I'm gonna have to check that one out. I just can't wait for tomorrow so I can finally try out everything for myself.

I use NewsRob. It requires you to make a Google reader account, which it syncs with, BUT it stores content offline once downloaded/synced. The depth of the downloaded feed can be changed per feed, either just text, text and pics, or up to the condensed and full webpage (the click-through page). I also augment the RSS feeds by using http://www.wizardrss.com/ which converts summary feed entries into full articles (by giving you a new RSS URL to use in the place of the original), though reliability varies by site.

I've been trying out NewsRoom. It's full articles and view are nice, but it's much more difficult than OI News Reader to see which articles are read and which haven't. With NewsRoom, merely browsing the list of articles marks them read, while in News Reader you have to tap on the article title to (read and to) mark it as "read". Still, NewsRoom is kind of nice and I'm continuing to try it out.

It works by converting your RSS URL to an alternative, so it works regardless of what RSS reader you use. Though it is only worth using on feeds that only give partial articles or just links. To use it, take the feed's URL and put it in the box, then press the button. The site will convert the URL into a new one (it will be in your address bar as it both produces it and navigates to it). Take this new URL and put it in your feed reader. It will now download the full text for each entry instead of just a preview. This does not work on all feeds though.

Example, this forum has a feed:
http://www.entourageedge.com/forums/....php?type=RSS2

It converts to:
http://www.wizardrss.com/feed/www.en....php?type=RSS2

I also use NewsRob Pro it's great although I will now augment it with wizard as some feeds only show as partial summaries. It's great for viewing content offline. I miss Mdigger from my Windows mobile days though... NewRob doesn't allow you to zoom in on Pictures embedded into the feed...
