Will The Edge or the Pocket Edge ever be available in Australia ???

I see that the edge is available in certain countries now, will you guys ever release it in Australia? I have been putting off and putting off buying something hoping that it will be released here but from what I see it looks like we will miss out

I dont want to order through a third party from overseas because if I have an issue that will mean big postage costs and delays in returning it.

Could you please give me a YES or NO, will it be released in Australia?

I asked Entourage this a few times back when I was still looking to purchase one, but they would never give me a straight answer. They simply kept telling me that they are working on licensing issues with all international sales. I got sick of putting off the purchase and went the third party route. When I had some issues that they wanted me to return my edge for, I told tech support that it wasn't really an option for me, and so instead they were really supportive with sending out release candidates of the updates to address my problem directly.

I am now also waiting with you for an Australian release to purchase a second unit, though the aussie dollar is doing pretty strong against the USD at the moment...

Perhaps if a staff member could give us a hint to an Australian release?

Yep,I see its available in the USA,Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Spain and the UK but we still get nothing here in OZ ? Typical !

The reason that if there is an issue is the only reason I will not buy through a third party, postage costs are just too high between Oz and the USA to be sending a unit back and forth

The strength of our Ozzie dollar is why I thought i would ask once again if it will ever be released here, but I fear it will not. I have been putting off for ages buying something but I guess I will just have to buy something else, Pity , it was just what I was after.

Buy it now, it's the time, OZ$ is higher this time... I just purchased mine from amazon and sent it back to AUS through shipito.com
Hopefully I get it within a week or so

Has anybody heard any updates on this? Have been researching tablet alternatives and the Entourage Edge sounds absolutely perfect for uni... but then I see it's not available in Australia? What the? We're not some forgotten backwater here... come on people!

I haven't seen any mention of Australia (you'll notice there's also no mention of any South American, African or Asian country either, so Australia is in good company

Y'all are too late! We just arrived in LHR (not quite home to Canada yet) from two weeks in Melbourne and Brisbane. Not that I had a spare ounce in my luggage to bring over extra edges, but you at least could have played with mine to see how you liked it. There's a good chance we'll be at the same conference again next year.... but sadly, I don't think we'll be getting back any time before then.
