Welcome aboard, Veronica !

You'll find this forum to be really friendly (with a few very minor exceptions). Boris is normally the first to chip in, and Cheyenne seems to be the app guru. I wouldn't be surprised if one of those guys would be able to help out !

Be sure to give us a review of how you find enTourage's new baby.

Welcome, Veronica

Here's a link for WordPops 1.0.4: http://www.4shared.com/file/gawthlhS/WordPops__104_.htm
Here's a link for DoodleJump 1.2.2: http://www.4shared.com/file/7pqcSZh2..._Jump_v122.htm

Click the big blue "Download Now" button and wait for the download timer to reach zero, at which time you can download.

I haven't tried these apps, so they may or may not install on your Pocket eDGe.

Hello DrSteve, nice to meet you!

So far I love my new baby, it is the perfect size, and everything loads so quickly. I am a die hard Mac fan, so everyone was shocked when I chose this over the iPad. I thought it was time to give Android a run for its money.

My only concern right now is battery life. I wish it was a little longer. The reader side is a tad darker than I like as well. Hopefully I am just missing a setting and need to play with it a bit more.

Have an awesome weekend!

Veronica

Boris you are brilliant! WordPops works beautifully, thank you SO much! I am a happy geek now.

As for DoodleJump, I realized last night after I posted that it could not possibly run on Edge as there is no built in accelerometer correct? Duh me.

Thank you though for the links, much appreciated!

How much battery life are you getting, and under what conditions?

You can improve battery life by setting the screen timeout, locking the LCD when you don't need the LCD side, and by closing up the Pocket eDGe when you put it aside (which puts it into "sleep"). See http://www.entourageedge.com/forums/...use-the-reader for details.

The reader side has no adjustments for brightness or contrast. I, too, found it somewhat dark when I first got my (full sized) eDGe, but I think it will improve slightly as the eInk gets exercised and as you get used to it. eInk is quite different from the bright LCDs we're used to, but after using it for a couple of days, you may find reading a book on an LCD screen downright painful

Hi Boris,

Last night it seemed to last for only two hours or so, using the tablet side for web browsing, YouTube videos etc. I let it charge all night before using it again, so hopefully I will notice an improvement today. Thank you so much for the information, I will adjust my settings.

I am sure once my eyes adjust to the reader I will love it. Up to now I have been reading my books on my NetBook or iPod touch so this should definitely be an improvement. Most of my books are from Amazon and I am so happy the Kindle app works on the edge. I am a bit disappointed in the book and App selection here in the market place. I realize it takes time to add contect so I will be patient.
