edge wont boot fully

I first want to apologise if i sound a bit flustered. i have had a bad week and the moment something turns around the bottom drops out of something.
I have owned my edge for about 2-3 weeks now. first it didn't correctly register. then the battery died in a non-fixable way. now i think something has happened to the os itself. with the battery not charging at all i asked tech support if i could still use it because all my school books are on it. they said yes so in my failed attempt to get my homework done at work yesterday i used it. now today it will not boot. at start up i get to three lights before it just stops. i have scoured the internet to find some way to fix this. nothing so far has helped.

I am running dingo. i have tried pulling the battery out and starting it replacing the battery and starting it and every combination of battery in out plugged in combination i can think of. is there ANYTHING i could do today to possibly get it working i am desperate and being that its sunday i cannot call tech support.

yeah, it always gets to 3 of the 4 lights under the edge logo flashes the reader screen and then just stops. I have tried battery out and in re-seating it. i would do battery only but the battery is shot. the only reason i have it in at all is because the tech said that the e-ink screen can warp and break if the battery is in which makes sense.

Probably your internal flashcard has corrupted data.

Try to manually update firmware (so it will restore boot sectors)
Download http://www.entourageedge.com/support...1.0/update.zip to the root of sd card.
Press and hold the menu button and the rotate button
While still holding the menu button and rotate button, press the power button to turn on the eDGe
Release the menu and rotate button 4-5 seconds after hitting the power button
The eDGe should enter an update screen displaying 'Update in Progress'... wait until it boot in android.

I have tired to use the link for both the regular coyote update as well as the golden update and the link wont download. when i click it it takes me to the main page for entourage ive tired chrome, firefox and IE. i have also tried gigaget and put the link directly into that program and for both of them i get a file does not exist. i found a rooted version of coyote and ran that. it just hangs on the entourage screen now.

EDIT: if someone wants to send me the file i would love to have it. or another web page that hosts it. i am gonna go breathe for a few.

Try removing your SD card and rebooting. The presence of an invalid update.zip on it can prevent the eDGe from booting properly.

Anyway seems my suspection were right.. bad internal memory... if problem reoccure i'll suggest you to return eDGe for replacement.

First name basis? Oh dear, you have been having a string of bad luck! Over the months, various people have had dud batteries, power supplies and eDGes, and once they got a replacement and all was fine, they ended up fully enjoying their eDGe. Buying a great new gadget and having problems is a major pain, indeed. Relief is at hand, though

yeah its been a rough time lol. I'm pretty difficult to anger about tech. it's new, i get there are going to be issues. the software as much as i like it isn't really "for" it. i've read that android is going to sort of split and is going to have like a sort of phone branch and a sort of tablet branch which is really cool. i really like the product and i really hope they do well and i am honestly hopelessly in love with their tech support. when i worked at staples as an easy tech i would have given my right arm to talk with someone as friendly and understanding as these guys are.
