Thumbs up eDGe-specific screen protectors now available from ZAGG

ZAGG now has custom screen protectors for the eDGe: http://www.zagg.com/invisibleshield/...ns-shields.php.

I just bought it...the full body one. Question, can I put a skin on over the top of the shield?

Good question. You are talking about a Gelaskin, right? I would assume that it would work, since the skin is just an adhesive...

I'm not sure if it's really make screen indestructible 'cos e-ink screen is easy to brake. So I wonder if someone with zagg protector tried to (hit) drop something on e-ink. (I do not care about scratches e.t.c. 'cos any protector can protect from them, but not from an hit or crash).

Well somewhere I have a power sander and I just ordered those screen protectors... but you know, I think that I'll leave that to someone else to try.

I'm disappointed, the link worked this morning when I was at work, but when I got home it was all 404 error.

Here is hoping they put it back up.

Interesting. The order that I placed last night is still showing up as "in process" (i.e., they haven't canceled it).

Could be that the orders placed in the past day or so exceeded what they anticipated and would rather suspend additional orders until they can manufacture more. Alternatively, they want to make sure that there are no problems for customers installing the initial batch before manufacturing and selling more.

Interesting indeed. Saw this on my order status:

I have the same thing on mine, but what you copied is just a legend for the "replacement" column on the line of the invoice.

At least one mine, the invoice has "replacement" with a line through it, which I'm interpreting as it just meaning that it's not a replacement order (which it isn't). As far as I can tell, it's still an active order (i.e., still listed as "in process" rather than "canceled").

I just got a shipping notice for it tonight. Weird that it's still no longer listed on the site. Maybe it was just a single test run?

I just received a reply from ZAGG about the removal of the eDGE invisibleSHIELDS.
The first reply they told me that they have never created a shield for a "GARMIN entourage edge" I have no idea where they came up with that brand name.

Verdict: They removed it.

I wonder what that means for those of us that placed an order before it was removed. I ordered the screen only protectors, which have shipped already. FYI - if they ever do put them back up, register for the weekly contest and receive a code in your e-mail for up to 50% off.
